Abide in Me

I am back to blogging after a few weeks break.

This is a sign I made for my wonderful son, Bryan.  I asked him to provide me with a few of his favourite Bible passages, and used this one for a gift to him.

The sign is hand painted on a raised panel made of pine strips edge-glued together.  The profile was made on my router, as you would for a raised panel door.  I painted the edges black to act as a frame.

The whole piece is 13 1/2" square, the flat inner part is 12" square.  The thickness is 5/8" and it has a sawtooth hanger on the back.

Bryan enjoyed his gift almost as much as I enjoyed making it and giving it to him!

A sign like this can be made for you, please contact me through my blog, or my email at follow.your.heart@live.ca

  2. I really like that, especially the way you painted the edge. Works perfectly for a frame.
